More than 8,500 runners and walkers on 200 corporate teams participated in this year’s Marcum Workplace Challenge at Jones Beach State Park on Tuesday, to raise funds for four local charities. In total, 12,000 Long Islanders turned out for what promises to be the year that carries the event over the $1 million fundraising threshold.
