NEW YORK, NY — June 26, 2013 — Carolyn Gusoff , the Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist and Long Island native, will sound the starting horn at the 8th Annual Marcum Workplace Challenge, Long Island’s largest corporate run-walk for charity. This year’s event will take place at Jones Beach State Park on July 30.

“The Marcum Workplace Challenge brings together all of corporate Long Island for a great cause. It is very exciting to see the thousands of runners and walkers lined up at the starting gate, and watching them go when I sound the horn is really special, since I know how many Long Islanders will benefit from the event,” said Ms. Gusoff, who covers the Long Island beat for CBS 2. In addition to her Emmy awards and numerous other industry honors, she has also garnered several Long Island Fair Media Council FOLIO awards and seven first-place Society of Professional Journalists/Press Club of Long Island awards.
